World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:

  • Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Needed some motivation today...too much vacationing!

Did CFT today. A little disappointed in my score today considering it was 25 pounds lower than my last CFT. BS 330, SP 155, DL 415. felt weak in the press today, my last CFT press was 170 and my last DL was 430, but I did improve my squat by 5 pounds. Todays score 900.

Used 20# sand bag for squat snatch (2 10s hanging on each side of my hand, grasping bag in middle) These were great for the ol' stabilizer muscles--that sandbag was flopping around everywhere!
